A heavy defeat of 17-6 followed our trip up the M3 last night to Basingstoke.

5-0 down after three minutes, we never really recovered our composure and were outplayed by an organised and fit Basingstoke side, most of whom play for the Bluefins in the National League.

First Hampshire Leagure game of 2006 sees the 1st team travelling to Basingstoke Aquadrome.

Game time is 8:15pm; leave JR's at 6:15pm.

First team travelled to Exeter for a friendly last night.

Team was Ade Gant, John & Steve Restorick, David Jones, Nick Ireland, Matt White, Dan Kinsey, Grant & Niall Lamming, Jack Dow and Dan Farquhar. Support party consisted of Marisa Kinsey and Liz Ireland.

Matt got two majors in the 1st quarter and was wrapped for dissent early in the 2nd. Despite this, we led for most of the game against a strong Exeter side with the younger contingent holding their own.

The home side turned on the pressure in the final quarter, scoring five goals with no reply as Diddy and Nick cramped up.

We started to play a extra 5th quarter but that was abandonded soon after Dan F was head-butted by one of the opposition.
