Victory Over Southampton City

Buoyed by the win over Basingstoke the day before, the men's 1st team clinched 2nd place in this season's Hampshire League with a dominant 5-3 win over rivals Southampton City.

We took the lead from the start and were never behind. City missed a penalty in the 2nd quarter after Mat White was penalised for blocking with two hands but strong defending and in particular, ensuring that Southampton's top player Mark Williams had few opportunities on goal, kept us in front.

Dorset Senior Champions!

At the Dorset ASA 75th Anniversary celebrations yesterday held in the Dolphin Pool at Poole, our 1st team overcame Bournemouth to win the Championship and accompanying shield.

This is the first time that the contest has been held since 1971 (when Weymouth SC won) and let's hope this will become a regular fixture.
